Here is my submission for the Impressions Composing Jam: Imagination #2. 

For me the theme "The Far Reaches", not only involved a distant place or something like that, it also involved the story told or lived to get there. Following this idea I decided to split this music in three parts. And that's what I found interesting: The far reaches doesn't start when we are there, but when we decide to go there. 

I wanted each part to keep more or less the same theme. It's a way for me to tie everything together and to recall the first idea of this music, namely that it come as a whole. 

Regarding the length of the music, I found it interesting to compress three parts into a relatively short whole. It was a really fun challenge for me. 

Finally, I tried to distance myself as much as possible from the illustration wich was given as an exemple. This illustration helped me understand the theme but I didn't want to limit myself to a Japanese atmosphere. I wanted to stand out from that. 

So here is a mix between classical instrument, synthetic sounds and a touch of something like a light orchestral.
